Abstract
In the field of CFD, the resolution of compressible flows is generally related to the estimate of the numerical vector fluxes. When these are expressed in terms of characteristic variables, this leads, for each component of the flux, to the use of different regions of integration, due to the different phase velocities corresponding to the various characteristic quantities.
