Identifiability versus heterogeneity A.M. Lack of identiflability means that there exists parameters to which the heads are insensitive. From the guide- lines of the study of the homogeneous case, we inspect the identiflability of the transmissivity field of heteregeneous groundwater aquifers. These are derived from multiple realizations of a random function. We follow the identiflability of the transmissivity for each sample of the population N(O, Oy, c*y) through the measure of the sensivity of the local derivatives D^h = (d h /d T ).
