Abstract
To study the influence of underwater screens on near-shore sediment transport, a new single multitasking program is written to run on an AT 80286 based computer equiped with an electronic data-acquisition card. The program generates different coastal tidal cycli in a wave tank and concurrently registrates the relevant model parameters. These show that the imposed tidal sequences are closely followed in the model. Care has been taken to make the program as flexible as possible. 1. Introduction A new system of floating geotextile screens installed in a proper field configuration in front of the Belgian Coast, must ensure the stabilization of the local sand beaches [1].
