Abstract
The influence of internal radiation on the thermal transport is an es- sential question in heat transfer calculations in glass at high temperatures. The internal radiation in semi-transparent materials may contribute to the energy transport in a way that may be mixed-up with thermal conductivity. During certain conditions this effect is large and causes an apparently higher value of the thermal conductivity, which can be much larger than the true thermal conductivity. During other circumstances, the literature indicates that this contribution may be neglecte
