Abstract
The paper deals with the computation of the three dimensional, transient, non- linear temperature field, during the casting process of high quality electrical insulation parts for use in the high voltage technique. The topic covers the electrical, chemical and process engineering domains. The considered application is a diffusion problem with phase change. The convective heat flux between the analysed system and the environment is considered. The computation requires the consideration of the heat sources (exothermic process) in the system, the non-linear behaviour of the epoxy resin system with phase change (solidification). Recent the finite element method has been used to solve problems
