Abstract
A discussion concerning time domain integral representations to calculate space and time derivatives of the scalar wave equation is initially carried out. Subsequently, time domain integral representation to compute stresses in elastodynamics is considered. The concept of finite part of integrals is employed to write down integral equations in a more compact way. Three numerical examples are included in order to verify the accuracy of the formulation. Introduction The subject "time domain BEM analysis of wave propagation problems" is an important and interesting research topic related to physics and mathematics. The research work in this field was hard at the beginning, as solids concepts not familiar to engineers are required. However, in the last decad
