Abstract
A closed form solution which is an extension of the Boundary Strip Method, previously developed by the authors, is the subject of the present paper. The suggested non-element method expands the boundary integral equations of elasticity and heat conduction problems into polynomial or otherwise, trigonometric series. Generally, the use of trigonometric series for periodic boundary conditions and smooth, closed boundaries is proven to be very efficient. However, this application is limited, and the solution of other kinds of problems, which include straight line segments and non-periodic boundaries encounter some difficulties by using this technique.
