Abstract

Expert control and neurocontrol are two important approaches in intelligent control, but they are quite different in mechanism. Expert control imitates the reasoning aspect of human thinking, whereas neurocontrol simulates the imagination aspect of human thinking. This paper presents a new approach to intelligent control by means of combining neurocontrol with expert control. It not only overcomes the difficulties of representing and updating knowledge in expert control, but also solves the problems in neurocontrol that learning speed is rather slow and that control quality is not good enough during the learning process.
