Abstract
Simulating some complex wave scattering problems on CM-2 connection machine by pseudospectral time-marching Y. Luo, M.J. Yedlin of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC V6T 1Z4, Canada ABSTRACT In this paper, we will describe the simulation of some two-dimensional com- plex wave scattering problems on the CM-2. We use a polynomial expansion time-marching technique combined with the pseudospectral method to ac- curately simulate those complex scattering and propagation problems. The new time-marching technique will be briefly introduced in this paper and the detailed CM-Fortran programming considerations regarding the parallel im- plementation of this technique on an SK CM-2 will also be addressed. Some performance results are compared to determine the efficient implementation of the new accurate-time-updating pseudospectral method. Some snapshot pictures of the complex wave scattering simulations (corner and strip tar- gets) will be presented and discussed. The numerical results al
