Abstract
Diagnosis-Related Groups (DRG) were introduced at the University of Yale as a classification system of the admissions in a hospital into classes of resource iso- consumptions. In 1982, the Health Care Financing Administration of the USA proposed to study the costs of the medical institutions by means of DRG.
