Abstract

Application of digital gauging system for ROPS test A. Busatti & R. Paoluzzi Institute for Earth-Moving Machinery and Off-road Vehicles (CEMOTER) of the Italian National Research Council, Italy Abstract The Cemoter Institute is a research Institute of the Italian National Research Council, active in the field of basic and applied research for Earth-moving machinery. It also acts as a Notified Body for Roll-Over Protective Structures (ROPS) and Falling Object Protective Structures (FOPS) according to Annex IV for European Directive 98/37/EC. In order to perform actual structural tests, a loading machine able to apply forces up to 200 tons in vertical and horizontal directions is located at the Institute.
