Abstract
The main goal, that should guide development of management information systems, is development of tools that are useful for busy practitioners to access and use information. Practitioners need methods to answer questions and make decisions. At the same time, a trend of increasing specialisation is evident in today's business. Therefore, applications should be tailored to help the user accomplish related tasks quickly. It is important to present the user with just what he/she needs and when it is needed.
