Abstract
The problem of knowledge integration for the investigation of complex systems as the basis for decision making and control is formulated in the paper. A method, based on the concept of an engineering theory, is proposed for handling the problem. The paper describes a methodology for the development of such theories using the hypothetic-deductive method and computer aids for knowledge representation and processing. The implementation of the suggested approach when solving the task of automobile movement simulation is given as an example. Introduction Among the most actual problems of the complex systems control are the analysis and modelling. At the same time the development of methods and aids for investigation of complex systems does not keep pace w
