Abstract

(fe JTtgemeroa de Cammog, Ca?%a/e^ i/ PwerZos, University of La Coruna, Campus de Elvina, 15192 La Coruna, Spain ABSTRACT In this paper an extensive use of computer graphics for modeling and animating an urban area in a city is explained. The advantages of using digital models during the design process of real engineering problems are presented, and the necessity of a full integration of the set of computer graphic tools required along it is pointed out. Finally, some reasons are given in favour of adapting networks of personal computer as rendering farms to produce animations of complex digital models. 1. INTRODUCTION This paper describes a digital model carried out of an area inside the city of La Coruna in Spain. This area needed to be redesigned due to the heavy amount of traffic vehicles.
