Abstract

Optimum technology of creation of compressive residual stresses improving fatigue strength V.A. Boguslayev*, N.I. Obodan\ P.P. The problem is solved by application of the finite elements method. The results of the optimization process are presented INTRODUCTION The positive effect produced by three-dimensional residual stresses, imparted in the machine elements in those zones where development of operational damage, nicks and macrotracks has the greatest probability, upon the fatigue strength is well known [1]. However, creation of such stresses by purposeful non-uniform plastic
