Abstract
Ductile damage models cast in the framework of the generalized standard material (GSM) are presented. Damage static internal variable are directly linked with the elastic energy and the hardening functional. The general variational formulation for elastoplasticy coupled with damage is derived together with a mixed principle which is useful! from the computational standpoint. 1 INTRODUCTION The need of advance the performance of materials adopted in the applica- tions of structural engeniering has increased the attention devoted to the constitutive theories of inelastic behaviour.
