Abstract
Determination of crack fatigue law's parameter in heterogeneous materials E. Ahmiedi, J. Rosier, C. Petit Civil Engineering Laboratory, University of Limoges, Egletons, France ABSTRACT In this paper, we are interested in identification of the two parameters of PARIS fatigue law. The materials concerned are not homogeneous such as bituminous concretes. A three points bending test has been studied for crack opening mode. The problem is to determine the stress intensity factor during crack growth and the crack speed in order to evaluate the two parameters. The experimental well known technical way consists in representing the crack speed versus the stress intensity factor amplitude in a logarithmic scale. In heterogeneous materials it is particularly difficult to define the real position of crack tip. Moreover, the crack front is not uniform across the sample thickness. This is due to aggregates or heterogeneities near the crack tip. In this case, we assume the fracture mechanics
