Abstract
This paper extends to a rotating co-ordinate system the three-dimensional symmetric form, in space and time, of the Euler equations, previously reported by the authors, in an inertial frame of reference. This form of the Euler equations is discretized in space using the multi-dimensional upwind residual distributionmethod. The integration of the cell residual and the evaluation of the distribution matrices is performed using the Roe’s parameter vector and a mean weighted square radius. An implicit time step is adopted to reduce the computational time required to achieve the steady-state solution. Numerical results are presented for the flow through the NTUA/LTT annular-compressor cascade
