Abstract
An object-orientated 3D finite element deterministic/neural mesh generator S. Coco\ A. Laudani', S. Pulvirenti* & M. Sergi* '^ Dipartimento Elettrico, Elettronico e Sistemistico Universita di Catania, Italy ^ST Microelectronics, Catania, Italy Abstract This paper illustrates an innovative 3D Finite Element Deterministic/Neural Mesh Generator for modelling complex electronic devices, developed using an object-orientated design approach. For these applications the possibility of describing complex three-dimensional geometries by merging elementary blocks of simple shape (geometrical primitives) greatly facilitates the building-up of a finite element model. An object-orientated approach has been pursued to generalize this kind of modelling, allowing an easy implementation of the problem.
