Abstract
SCOPCA: a symbolic computation program for circuit analysis T. Pimenides, S. Manesis, A. Grammaticos, K. Papageorgakopoulos, P. Kanavos Department of Electrical Engineering, Division of Systems & Control, University of Patras, 26500 Patras, Greece ABSTRACT SCOPCA is a circuit analysis program using mathematical models and providing a functional description of the various circuit variables. It consists of two parts, the user interface which has been developed with Turbo Pascal and the main routine which performs the mathematical computation using the REDUCE software package. Whole computation is based on symbolic calculations and two output files contain the Laplace and time domain solutions. The capabilities of the developed program cover, with few exceptions of special topology, all circuit analysis problems, subject to computer technical limitation. INTRODUCTION In circuit analysis we often need the analytic
