Abstract
A numerical and phenomenological formulation to analyse creep and drying shrinkage of concrete is presented in this paper. Both humidity effects and non- linear mechanical behaviour of the constitutive materials are taken into account. The effects produced by internal stresses that result from time dependent deformations are finally presented for different concrete specimens and numerical results show good agreement with experimental data. 1 Introduction In order to predict cracking in any environment and to rationally ensure the durability and long-term serviceability of concrete structures, it is necessary to evaluate both the transport properties and the associated delayed deformations of the material. It is necessary first
