Abstract
Stress intensity factors of oblique cracks in fretting fatigue, K\ and KU, have been determined through a numerical analysis using the scheme of Green's functions and superposition. The Green's functions have been obtained through boundary element analysis for normal and tangential point forces on oblique crack faces. The general expressions can be applicable to calculate KI and KU by inputting various parameters of fretting conditions. 1 Introduction It has been well known that fatigue strength of machines and structures is markedly decreased due to fretting fatigue. Fretting fatigue is a form of fatigue where micro-slip wear takes place at
