Abstract
Several semi-analytical approaches developed to obtain low-cost numerical solution of elastodynamic contact problems reduced to integral equations are described. The main features ensuring efficiency of the methods are 1) proper selection of the basis functions in the Galerkin scheme; 2) explicit analytical extracting out the singular terms of the solution; 3) reduction of the integral equations with meromorphic kernels to infinite linear algebraic systems accompanied by the asymptotically accurate stable truncation. 1 The Weiner-Hopf type integral equations Let consider a special case of the contact problems when one of the contacting bodies is an elastic layer (H <Keywords
