Abstract
Thermal and flow processes occurring in a small-scale refrigeration system have been discussed. A theoretical description of the processes in the system components has been proposed in order to develop a theoretical model of the entire system. 1 Introduction Although household refrigerators are commonly used appliances, very little is known about them from the scientific point of view. There are a few literature sources devoted to the problems connected with a temperature field in cooling chambers, operation of a refrigerating unit from the viewpoint of the parameters of a refrigerant in the unit, heat exchange in individual subassemblies of the unit and power consumption of the refrigerating system. In household refrigerators the temperature control
