Abstract
In this paper the numerical model of non-steady heat conduction based on the generalized finite differences method is discussed. In particular, the basic idea of the method* and also the way of resolving system construction are presented. In spite of the fact that the ID problem is analysed, the main elements of the numerical algorithm are the same as in the case of 2D and 3D problems. In the final part of the paper examples testing the influence of domain discretization on the exactness.of the numerical solution are shown. 1 Introduction It is said that the generalized finite differences method constitutes a 'bridge' between the basic version of FDM and the finite element method. It results from the fact that the collocation points in the domain considered can be located in a practically optional way. Additionally, the very essential fault of the standar
