Abstract
A general formulation of radiant distribution for architecture applications Francisco Arumi-Noe Abstract The formulation of closure is developed as a way to describe the distribution of diffuse radiation among surfaces. The surfaces may be obstructed or unobstructed. The surfaces may describe a single space or they may describe an arbitrary number of connected spaces. Closure follows from the principle of energy conservation. The closure argument provides as a byproduct a more general formulation of both the form factors and of radiosity which include the contribution due to transmission among visually connected spaces. It also results in the definition of distributed form factors A hich Iwe a similar interpretation to standard form factors but additionally Delude (he Affects due to the infinite series nf reflections among all surfaces ind due to transmissions among the spaces.
