The peculiarity of a SEA referred to Olympic Games programmes lies in the fact that the adoption of such Programmes is based on common guidelines, whereas other plans and programmes are structured in different f o m across Europe, according to the national laws of these countries. The analysis is carried out through the comparison of the Italian SEA, applied to the Turin Olympic Games 2006 and the German SEA approach developed for the candidature of Frankfurt to the Olympic Games in 2012.
