Abstract
A 3D CNN-based approach to integrate the air pollution diffusion equation ' G. Nunnari I Dkartimento di Ingegneria Elettrica, Elettronica e dei Sistemi, University of Catamia, Italy Abstract This paper deals with integration of the PDE equation which describes the air pollutant dispersion process, based on the use of an array of Cellular Neural Networks. In particular the template expressions, needed to program these analog devices in the case of multiple point sources with a constant rate of emission and a turbulent diffusivity tensor independent from the spatial coordinates are given. The 3D integration scheme studied has been provisorily implemented by using an ad-hoc software package that is briefly described in the paper. The advantages deriving from the use of the proposed integration scheme are also outlined. 1 Introduction It is known that the numerical solution of partial differential equations, such as the Navier-Stokes equation considered in fluid dynamics, requires powerful compu
