The availability of information concerning the hydrography and the hydrology of the territory is fundamental for performing such a task. In this respect, studies and observations performed in the last century form a valid basis available to all operators. However, in most practical cases, the real and very difficult problem is to assure an adequate quality in access to the information, that is: how to access all the data in an integrated format and in a very short time.
