Abstract
Wastewater treatment scenarios - Olkusz Water Supply and Sewerage Company case study B. ~ieda', R. ~adeusiewicz~ & W. wajs2 I Management Department, University of Mining and Metallurgy, 30-067 Krakow, Poland 'institute of Automatics, University of Mining and Metallurgy, 30-059 Krakow, Poland Abstract The main goal of this paper is to propose wastewater treatment scenarios, based on physical-chemical pre-treatment. The scenarios have been evaluated by calculation of the environmental interventions. The sustainability of the investigated treatment processes was predetermined as an important criterion in evaluating the scenarios. The following environmental interventions were chosen to evaluate the treatment scenarios: final sludge production and the use of chemicals. The system boundaries include all on site water and sludge treatment processes. The identified scenarios are combined with a sludge treatment. The final sludge is transported for central dewatering and incineration or a gasificati
