Abstract
Usually, condition numbers of matrix increase when values of the coefficients of the main diagonal are strongly contrasted. Such cases occur when heterogeneity and accordingly spatial variability is pronounced. Techniques to generate values of transmissivity field with prescribed variance and correlation allow to build matrix flow parametrized on a and a . With Monte carlo simulations, we are able to inspect condition numbers of multiple replications of flow matrix associated with this random field and also to evaluate the influences of ct and <*y . Results obtained confirm what was expected : condition numbers increase withKeywords
