Abstract
As computerized modeling of groundwater flow and transport has become more widespread over the past decade, various governmental and private organiza- tions in the United States have developed standards for groundwater modeling. Among the private organizations developing these standards are the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). Two committees within ASCE and three within ASTM are currently developing standards related to groundwater modeling. This paper discusses the current status of these standards and some representative standards developed by federal, state, and regional governments. 1 Introduction The purposes for development of standards on groundwater mode
