Abstract
A new methodology to calculate the thermal integral t ") i M. Cortes-Molina , J. Pena-Miralles , Y. Villacampa-Esteve & M.A. Castro-Lopez* ^ Universidad de Alicante, Spain. Abstract Until a few years ago the California Red Scale (Aonidiella Aurantii Maskel) had not produced any major damage in Spain, although it is the second most active woodlouse that attacks citrus fruits in the world. But in 1985 this woodlouse was detected in "Comunidad Valenciana", becoming one of the most important problems for citrus. Because of that fact, from 1990 approximately until now, articles or publications specially dedicated to this pest have continued to appear. To model this pest's development, the authors have introduced as variables thermal integral, humidity, pluviometry (precipitation), and other environmental factors. The study of the thermal integral gives us a method to stud
