Abstract
The aim of this hydraulic modelling is to evaluate the risks that the Pianas dike failure might generate to a railway embankment that borders the reservoir. The simulations of breaching are made on two different places, that are chosen for their vulnerability. For each place, two different widths of the breach are simulated. The modelling is carried out in two steps : - The simulations of breaching based on the Meyer-Peter-Miiller relation. - The simulations of the water propagation, based on 2D shallow water equations.
