Abstract
Temporal variations of some soil chemical properties induced by the effect of different intensities (moderate and high) of fire has been studied in an experimental set up of nine monitored plots (4 m wide x 20 m long). The previous status of soil chemical properties was determined and its evolution after fire was observed until one year later. Statistical analyses were applied to study the influence of fire intensity on the selected chemical properties, and to establish mathematical modelling expressions. Changes in the relationships between soil properties induced by the impact of burning have been also studied.
