Abstract

This work is being developed in the context of the multidisciplinary Project Tinto-Odiel River Ocean Study (TOROS), funded by the Envi- ronment & Climate Programme of the EU, dealing with the analysis of environmental variables. This information is being obtained by the biogeo- chemical study of the Tinto-Odiel river-estuary system. Within the overall project, the University of Granada is carrying out the tasks related to data management, including the design and creation of a Geographic Informa- tion System (GIS), and the application of remote sensing techniques for the regional analysis of relevant water quality parameters.
