Abstract

An environmental management system called feedback monitoring is being tested on a dredging and reclamation project. The system includes planning, impact assessments and monitoring. It is being applied in connection with a large infrastructure project involving dredging and reclamation of more than 7 million nf of seabed. The system incorporates the use of computerised numerical models of hydrography, sediment transport and sedimentation, water quality and ecological variables.
