Abstract

Contamination of groundwater resources by hazardous substance has become an issue of increasing interest. The first step to reduce an uncontrolled contamination due to migration is the recovery of this substance by means of extraction wells placed in the aeration zone above the saturated groundwater. The paper presents analytical solutions for a simplified chart of the flow system.
