Abstract

Piovesana, P.L, Pambianco j4g%ofer .g.p.A fE#7 Growpj, fO Boz gO, ^0^7^. lorenzo in Campo, Italy ABSTRACT Within the project: "Tenna River Basin, characterization and management of water resources and requalification of river ecosystem", based on a hydrogeological survey, a ground water flow and trasport model was implemented in the lower Tenna valley area. The aquifer system was simulated by using a twodimensional finite element code. In the forecasting stage the model was used to evaluate the system's residual potential, both under present conditions and in view of future hydraulic works along the Tenna River, as well as the time required to reduce NO3 concentration to the EEC standards for water potability.
