Abstract
The motion of flood waves resulting from dam break are investigated numer- ically. A Roe approximate Riemann solver is applied to the Saint Venant system combined with pollutant transport equation. The MUSCL tech- nique permits to increase the accuracy of the used scheme. To discretize the diffusion term a four points finite volume scheme is used. In order to have flexibility upon complex configurations domain, non-structured grid meshing is well utilized. 1 Introduction The numerical resolution of a 2D mathematical model of shallow water flow is particularly complex when dealing with deformed realistic geometries and variable topography regions. The purpose of the present work is to imple- ment and integrate a 2D Saint Ven
