Abstract
The recovery of volative organic compounds (VOC) from industrial emissions is presented here. First, general discussion is provided on VOC pollution, which includes industries involved, nuisance created and the regulations. Then, current removal techniques are presented with salient features from each case. After which, the paper focuses on our experiments: the removal of acetone in low concentrations in air. Hydrodynamics and mass transfer parameters are studied. The hydrodynamic parameters include pressure drop and flooding. The mass transfer parameters include mass transfer coefficients, number of transfer units and height of transfer un
