Abstract
The main function of the real-time system called IMPACT-2 is helping to diagnose and control the atmospheric impact of one or several point emission sources, coming from industrial combustion processes (power stations, incinerators, etc.), in the mesoscale range. It mainly consists of: 1) a mass-consistent three-dimensional wind model and a Lagrangian particle dispersion model (LADISMO model system), 2) an emission model and, 3) a management module that we call User Interface (UI). This UI is responsible for the management of the communication between the user and the models. The structure of the system is modular, in such a way that the UI could be able to mana
