Abstract
A analysis based on the Fourier method is introduced which allows the determination of threshold values using environmental epidemiologic data and time-correlated air pollution measurements. At the basis are a series of temporally, highly resolved measurements of the indicator variable SC^, thus, eleminating time-dependent confounding variables and temporal inhomogeneitis. The SCVseries, resulting from this procedure, are compared with daily acute respiratory morbidity data of the Mobile Emergency Unit.
