Abstract
The extended bond graph modelling and simulation method: a tool ideally suited to study cardiovascular energetics J. LeFevre, A. Tavernier & S. Compartmental graphs, reaction nets, analog networks and bond graphs are interrelated and algorithms to integrate them in a single modelling graphical package are briefly described. INTRODUCTION Many modellers have built complex lumped models of the cardiovascular system integrating the blood distribution system and its neuro-endocrine controls. However, these efforts were not very rewarding. The models, al- though useful to understand non-controlled hemodynamics did not produce deep insights on the integrative physiology of the controlled sys
