Abstract
This paper describes a series of tests carried out using a large diameter Hopkinson bar to obtain the stress pulse generated during the penetration of an armour piercing projectile into cementitious materials. Details of an analytical technique are given for the processing of this data to remove the timebase distortion associated with penetration events and to produce depth/time data for the event.
