Abstract
In calculations of damage from conventional weapons to reinforced concrete structures it is important to consider both the effects of the blast wave from the high explosive and the fragments from the case. A lot of work has been done previously to study the characteristics of blast loading and the damage to reinforced concrete structures. Recently a test series has been made at FOA to study the decrease of lateral load bearing capacity of reinforced concrete slabs after loading with fragments. Different parameters of the fragments such as velocity, areal density and size have been varied. Experiments have been made in l/4th scale with rather weak reinforce
