Abstract
3D wall panels are used in the construction of exterior and interior bearing and non-load bearing walls and floors of building of all types of construction. The present paper investigates the performance of such resistance elements against shear loading. A total of six welded wire shotcreted sandwich panels are subjected to seismic type lateral forces. Two different sizes of wall panels are tested with identical materials. The applied methods are based on experimental investigation. The failure mechanism is studied in details. Results of the current investigation are presented in the form of load-deflection plots and the ductility factor is calculated for comparison with traditional reinforced concrete shear walls. 1
