Abstract
In this paper some of the results obtained in the study of coastal evolution of Ebro Delta will be shown. The research refers to the geomorphologic evolution of the "Fangar Peninsula" and its adjacent beaches (Marquesa and Pal Beaches) and has focussed to evaluate quantitative and qualitative information about the sediment transport distribution process. This process affects its actual configuration. This analysis can help to predict future changes in the deltaic system. The results of this study have a relevant importance in civil engineering and environmental management of the coastal zone. It needs maintaining and improving the particular conditions in this area as the preservation of the habitats, the wild bird-life richness which colonize it, and the importance of the human economic activities that it supports. 1 Introduction
