Abstract
The railway vehicle and track dynamic model includes many physical and/or structural parameters. But the values of most of them are unknown or indefinite. For the solution of the problem of parameter estimation it is important to make clear how and to what extent the response of the system depends on each parameter. There are two remarkable features in the vehicle track dynamic model. One is it includes the moving wheel. The other is the exciting force is generated internally in the model by the interaction with wheel and rail under the existence of the track irregularity. In this paper, through the mathematical formulation of the vehicle- track dynamic model, we investigate in what manner the time varying part by the moving wheel, the nonlinear part concerning the contact force, and the linear time-invariant part can be expressed in the equation of the model. Then we give the procedure of the numerical simulation using the direct integration method and propose the parameter sensitivity analysis which is carried out efficiently in parallel with the simulation
