Abstract

High competition and structural changes in the industry will continue to affect terminal operators' activity in the near future. The trend toward concentration and verticalization along the supply chain in shipping industry will keep on lowering switching costs among competing terminal operators thus affecting negotiations, duration and validity terms of trade agreements.
